Hills Motorists Urged To Brush Up On Road Rules

Hills MPs David Elliott and Dominic Perrottet today announced the return of Road Rules Awareness Week for its second year with the addition of new videos to help explain the most misunderstood rules.

Mr Elliott urged road users across the Hills to ensure they were aware of changes to road rules.

“This week provides a great opportunity for Hills motorists to update themselves on the latest road rules in NSW,” Mr Elliott said.

“Motorists can collect a copy of the Top Ten Misunderstood Road Rules guide from the Castle Hill RMS registry or view it at roadsafety.transport.nsw.gov.au

“For further information, motorists can call 132 213.”

Mr Perrottet said he was delighted with the addition of some new animations to help illustrate misunderstood laws to motorists.

“These animations will help motorists understand how to negotiate a roundabout, the rules around school zones and how to legally use your mobile phone while driving,” Mr Perrottet said.

“It doesn’t matter whether you’re travelling on Windsor Road or a quiet residential street, having a strong understanding of the road rules makes everyone in our community safer.

“We are all responsible for our own safety on the roads as well as the safety of those around us.”
