Member for Baulkham Hills David Elliott today announced condolence books would be available in his electorate office so residents can pay tribute to the victims of flight MH17.
“This was a barbaric act, devastating families and communities in our State and across the nation,” Mr Elliott said.
“Our grief is compounded when we learn of the life stories of the victims before their lives were tragically cut short.
“This condolence book will allow the Baulkham Hills community to express their sorrow and pay tribute to the victims in a personal way.
“We now know six NSW residents were on board the plane – on behalf of the Baulkham Hills community I offer my prayers and condolences to the family and friends of each of them.
“I hope their loved ones are brought home without any further delay so funerals can be arranged. They have suffered enough pain in recent days.”
At an appropriate time the NSW Government will discuss with the families a suitable way for the condolence books to be presented.
Books will also be available for signing at NSW Parliament House, the Sydney Opera House, and online at www.nsw.gov.au
Mr Elliott’s office is located at Suite 1, 25-33 Old Northern Road, Baulkham Hills.
