The community has shown strong support for the planned Memorial Avenue upgrade at Kellyville.
“Roads and Maritime Services invited community feedback in December and January on the plan to widen Memorial Avenue to a four lane divided road, between Old Windsor Road and Windsor Road at Kellyville,” Baulkham Hills MP David Elliott said.
“The NSW Government has provided $1 million this financial year to progress
planning to upgrade this key road in Sydney’s North West.
“We thank the 54 community members who took the time to give feedback to the upgrade, with the majority of comments highly positive.
“Most comments were highly supportive of the project starting as soon as possible to reduce congestion as developments in the area increase including the Balmoral Road land release area.
“Roads and Maritime has also responded to community feedback on other issues raised including accessibility, upgrades to bus facilities, reducing the impact of building, work including to the environment, traffic lights, safety and local traffic movements.
“Roads and Maritime is now considering all community feedback to prepare the concept design and environmental impact assessment expected to be displayed again for community feedback at the end this year,” Mr Elliott said.
“The community will be kept informed as the project progresses.“
