Castle Hill RSL Group President Warren Glenny has been acknowledged for his contribution to the Hills community and the club industry with the Outstanding Contribution to the Club Industry Award.
Mr Glenny was presented with the award at the 2015 Clubs & Community Awards hosted by ClubsNSW.
Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP David Elliott said the award was a fine acknowledgement for Mr Glenny’s efforts in promoting the club and RSL movements over many years.
“Warren has been a driving force for Castle Hill RSL for many years,” Mr Elliott said.
“Castle Hill RSL has provided enormous support for many community and sporting organisations in the form of equipment, grounds allocation and financial support.
“Many of the programmes Castle Hill RSL support were instituted by Warren and he thoroughly deserves recognition for his efforts in our community.
“Membership at Castle Hill RSL has grown 138 per cent, from 18,500 to 50,000, and employment has increased from 155 to 550 staff.
“Warren has also brought on board new clubs at Parramatta and Pitt Town, extending the support of the Hills community further afield.
“Warren’s efforts have improved our community immensely, and I am looking forward to seeing Castle Hill RSL remain a strong contributor to the fabric of our community for many years to come.”
