Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP David Elliott has encouraged local youth with a strong commitment to our community to apply to participate in the 2015 NSW YMCA Junior Parliament.
“The NSW Junior Parliament aims to promote active community leadership and parliamentary education,” Mr Elliott said.
“The Junior Parliament is an outstanding opportunity for young people to engage with their community, their peers and to develop a stronger understanding of the Parliamentary process.”
Students interested should be:
* in year seven, eight or nine at school; and
* able to undertake a four day camp in September
Students from the Baulkham Hills electorate are invited to submit a 300-500 word exposition on The Importance of the Freedom of Speech, with the winner to represent Baulkham Hills in the Junior Parliament.

Closing date for submission of applications is 5.00pm, Friday 24 July 2015.
