2000 Reasons For Small Businesses To Hire New Employees

Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP David Elliott today welcomed the commencement of an information roadshow on the NSW Government’s Small Business Grants employment incentive scheme, and encouraged small businesses in the area to attend an upcoming local information session.

Mr Elliott said the $27 million scheme was part of the Government’s election commitment to deliver 150,000 new Jobs to New South Wales over the next four years.

The scheme will provide eligible small businesses with a $2,000 grant for each new full-time worker they employ, and a pro-rated grant for new part-time and casual workers.

A free local information session on the scheme will be held by the OSR Castle Hill RSL on Wednesday 26 August at 5:30pm.

“The free information sessions are a great opportunity for small businesses to learn about the Small Business Grant and meet representatives from the Office of State Revenue,” Mr Elliott said.

“The Small Business Grant scheme will provide a strong incentive for businesses to employ new workers and will encourage employers to expand their operations in NSW.”
