Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP David Elliott and Education Minister Rob Stokes today visited North Rocks Public School to discuss funding announced in this year’s NSW Budget.
Mr Elliott said the funding allocation was part of an extended period of capital funding for North Rocks Public School since 2011.
“The increase in student capacity at North Rocks will allow more students access to better learning facilities at a young age,” Mr Elliott said.
“Since 2011, North Rocks Public has benefitted from a canteen upgrade, a covered walkway, disability access upgrades and a new computer room worth a total of more than $300,000.
“With North Rocks rated one of the most in demand suburbs for housing in our state, it is vital we ensure North Rocks Public School can allow local students access to a quality education.”
Minister Stokes said the upgrades were part of a record $4.2 billion education investment which was only possible because of sound financial management.
“North Rocks Public School is just one of hundreds of schools to benefit from a record investment made possible by sound fiscal management,” Minister Stokes said.
