Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP David Elliott acknowledged the achievement of young people in Baulkham Hills by congratulating and presenting recipients with the NSW Government’s State Representative Award on Friday, 13 April 2018.
“Baulkham Hills is home to a treasure of talent, and each individual’s commitment to their nominated field is evident in earning this award. The discipline and focus required to reach this level should serve as an example and inspiration to others,” said Mr Elliott.
The NSW Government’s State Representative Award recognises people who have represented the State of NSW in a competitive field.
Nominees of any age, who have represented NSW in a competitive field such as sport, music, the arts, or academia, either nationally or internationally, may be nominated for the Award.
The full list of Award recipients acknowledged by Mr Elliott includes:
- Mr Lachlan Wood, nominated for representing the NSW Primary School Sports Association in Under 12 Boys Athletics in 100m, 200m, 800m, and 4 x 100m Relay at the 2017 Pacific School Games;
- Ms Emily Rose Crawford, nominated for representing the NSW Primary School Sports Association in Under 12 Girls Athletics in 100m, 200m, and 4 x 100m at the 2017 Pacific School Games;
- Ms Sophie Schultz, nominated for representing the NSW Primary School Sports Association in Under 10 Girls Athletics in 800m at the 2017 Pacific School Games; and,
- Mr Rashil Jetley, nominated for representing the Under 18 NSW Blues State Team at the Australian National Hockey Championship.
Mr Elliott was also joined by Liberal Councillor for West Ward, Ms Reena Jethi, to congratulate and present Baulkham Hills 2018 Local Woman of the Year Robyn Waite for her dedication and hard work across The Hills community.
“I thank Robyn for her ceaseless perseverance in accommodating and consoling victims of domestic violence. Robyn’s efforts have provided our community with an opportunity to stand up and show we are united against violence towards women and children in any form,” said Mr Elliott.
