MP David Elliott Hosts Hyde Park War Memorial For French President

Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP and NSW Minister for Veteran Affairs David Elliott hosted a tour of the ANZAC War Memorial in Hyde Park this morning for French President Emmanuel Macron.

Joined by Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, President Macron and Mr Elliott invested three (3) Australian World War II Veterans with the Legion d’Honneur, France’s highest order of merit for military and civil merits.

“It is always a tremendous honour to pay tribute and commemorate the ultimate sacrifice of our fearless diggers, and I appreciate the efforts of President Macron to join us to recognise our standing and fallen protectors in light of ANZAC week,” Mr Elliott said.
