“Currently there are 400,000 grass roots players participating in cricket in NSW, and I am confident that the upcoming ICC World T20 tournament will draw more players to the sport,” Mr Jones said.

“This first round of funding provides an exciting opportunity for councils and local clubs to consider projects that provide long-term benefits to local communities.”

Successful projects between $5,000 and $250,000 will be funded up to 50 per cent of projects costs.
