Baulkham Hills MP David Elliott has been appointed to the Joint Select Committee on the Workers Compensation Scheme in New South Wales. The Committee will commence on 1 May with a resolution of both houses and is due to report within 28 days.
Mr Elliott said he was thrilled to be asked to report on the scheme, having been a Founding Director one of the of the State’s few existing industry specific schemes when he was the Deputy Chief Executive of the Australian Hotels Association (NSW).
“Workers Compensation premiums are one of the business community’s greatest burdens and I will be keen to look at ways to change that,” Mr Elliott said.
It is the sixth Parliamentary Committee Mr Elliott has been appointed to since his election last year.
