Member for Baulkham Hills David Elliott had a welcomed distraction from Parliament last week to attend the Matthew Pearce Public School’s 30th Birthday celebrations.
Mr Elliott said the 1,042 students put on a first class show and he particularly congratulated the teachers on providing what is clearly a superior learning experience.
“Like all birthdays, it was appropriate to have gifts offered up. Last week it was obvious to everyone that the children of Matthew Pearce are receiving the gift of an education.” Mr Elliott said.
Mr Elliott also paid credit to Principal Kim Fawcett as well as previous principals who have built up a community asset we can all be proud of.
To celebrate Matthew Pearce’s 30th birthday, Mr Elliott gave the school a copy of the book ‘Australia’s First Parliament’.
