NSW Minister for Sport and Recreation, Graham Annesley, said the upcoming April school holidays provides an excellent opportunity for children to enjoy an adventure at one of the Sport and Recreation Centre Kids’ Camp around the State.
“Sport and Recreation camps are a great chance to get children outdoors in a natural healthy environment,” said Mr Annesley.
“The camps will be held at beautiful NSW bush or beach locations and help to build a child’s confidence and skills, with the added bonus of making new friends.
“Each camp has a different theme, such as cooking, adventure, campouts, girls’ empowerment or creative crafts.
“I encourage parents and carers to book early to secure their child’s place in an Autumn Kids’ Camp, or better still sign the whole crew up for a fun-filled Family adventure.
“Kids will love the activities on offer such as rock-climbing, canoeing and archery.
“Under the supervision of friendly and qualified staff, conquering these age-appropriate challenges can help children to develop confidence as they master new skills and make new friends.
“With a choice of Kids’ Camp programs for ages 7 to 16, at a range of locations across NSW, there is something to suit every family,” Mr Annesley said.
Camps run from 15 to 26 April and bookings close one week prior.
Kids’ Camp packages include all activities, accommodation, nutritious meals and 24-hour supervision. Supervised transport is also available to and from most camps.
