Member for Baulkham Hills David Elliott today announced that Youth Parliament representative Rachel Gibbons had secured her sponsorship for the July event.
Mr Elliott said that Tony Merhi of Dyldam Developments in Parramatta had come on board.
“I am thrilled that Rachel’s journey through the Youth Parliament can go ahead with Tony’s generous contribution,” Mr Elliott said.
“The Youth Parliament provides an outstanding opportunity for our school students to experience life in politics and how the Parliament operates.
“I am sure that Rachel will be a fantastic representative for our community, and I know she will behave better than some of my colleagues too!”
Rachel hopes to study psychology at University next year.
Rachel lists literature as one of her passions, with four units of English among her study load at school, along with biology, religion, visual arts, food technology and maths.
