Member for Baulkham Hills, David Elliott, announced that the Community’s campaign to secure a second crossing supervisor for Northmead Public School at Moxhams Rd was successful.
Following extensive negotiations with Roads Minister Duncan Gay, Mr Elliott said “The Minister had advised him that Northmead Public has met the requirements and a casual school crossing supervisor was recently appointed.
The campaign to gain a second crossing supervisor began in February.
“The school was getting bigger and more students were coming to the School,” Mr Elliott said
“Whilst I’m disappointed this decision took some eight months, the community effort has been rewarded.”
“Children are now able to get to school safely from all directions.”
“This should reduce the chance of a collision at the school” Mr Elliott said.
