Today John Ajaka Minister for Ageing announced that tickets to the upcoming Premier’s Gala Concerts for NSW seniors will be available from 9am on Friday 14 February.
“The 1970s themed concerts will be held during Seniors Week from 18 to 20 March and all tickets will be free to seniors,” Minister Ajaka said.
“I am delighted to announce international superstar, Mr Leo Sayer, will be the special feature performer at this year’s concerts.
“His hits include When I Need You, More Than I Can Say and You Make Me Feel Like Dancing, the title theme of the show.
“This year’s concerts have up to 50,000 tickets on offer – more than ever offered.
“I encourage seniors to get their tickets secured early.
“The Premier’s Gala Concerts are staged by the NSW Government to thank seniors for their ongoing contributions to the community.
“This year’s concerts will be hosted by Australian musical legend Rhonda Burchmore and a stellar local cast,” he said.
“I am so thrilled to have been invited to host this year’s Premier’s Gala Concerts, especially given the theme this year,” said Ms Burchmore.
“The seventies was a magic time for music and I’m sure the audience will have some wonderful memories flood back.”
Tickets to four concerts will be available for performances on Tuesday 18 March at 4.30pm, Wednesday 19 March at 10.30am and 2.30pm and Thursday 20 March at 10.30am.
The concerts will be held in Darling Harbour at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, recently renamed Qantas Credit Union Arena.
To obtain tickets book online on the Ticketek website, in person at the Qantas Credit Union Arena and local Westfield Concierge desks, or by phoning 1300 130 613.
The concerts are just one of the highlights of NSW Seniors Week, which includes hundreds of events across NSW.
