Applications for Youth Advisory Council close in ten days

David Elliott, Member for Baulkham Hills, has encouraged local youth with a strong commitment to our community to apply to join the NSW Youth Advisory

“The NSW Youth Advisory Council is made up of 12 young people aged between 12 and 24 years who report directly to the Minister for Citizenship and Communities Victor Dominello MP, who is responsible for youth affairs,” Mr Elliott

“The Youth Advisory Council meets regularly throughout the year and their advice and suggestions regarding issues that are important to young people play a direct role in the development of government policy.

“Every year hundreds of young people across the state apply to join the Youth Council and candidates with strong links to their community, experience in committees and with a dedication to youth issues are highly sought after.

“In Baulkham Hills we are fortunate to have many outstanding young people who would be great assets to the Youth Advisory Council and I strongly encourage all interested youth to apply before October 24,” Mr Elliott said.

Information and application forms for membership of the Youth Advisory Council are available on the NSW Government Youth website or from the Executive Officer, Youth Advisory Council, or (02) 9995 0532.
