Legal Know How In Free 2015 Diary For Older Citizens

Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP David Elliott today announced that legal information on topics of special importance to older members of the community is available free in a new diary.

“The diary can help older citizens find out whom to contact about their problem or where to get advice about issues as diverse as aged care, family issues and wills,” Mr Elliott said.

“The 2015 Legal Topics for Older Persons Diary has been produced by Legal Aid NSW. Legal Aid NSW also has detailed information available on a range of topics and provides free legal advice and assistance on everyday legal issues.”

“The 2015 diary also contains a foreword by one of NSW’s most illustrious older citizens, Professor the Hon Dame Marie Bashir AD CVO.”

“It is a fantastic resource that is available free of charge from Legal Aid offices as well as some local libraries and community organisations. It can also be ordered online.”

The 2015 edition contains chapters on the following issues:

  • Future planning
  • Wills
  • Funerals
  • Neighbours
  • Families
  • Family, home, finance and pension issues
  • Elder abuse
  • Carers
  • Retirement villages
  • Aged care
