Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP David Elliott today called on the Baulkham Hills community to nominate their neighbour for Neighbour of the Year.
Mr Elliott said the friendship of neighbours gave our community a sense of security and companionship and the community should come together to celebrate this on Neighbour Day, to be held this year on Sunday, 29 March.
“A strong community is founded on neighbours looking out for each other, whether it be feeding your dog, mowing your lawns, taking your garbage out or picking up the kids from school,” Mr Elliott said.
“Just like a great sporting team, our community works best when we do the little things right, and the Hills Shire is founded on good neighbourhoods.”
Mr Elliott is inviting the Baulkham Hills community to nominate their neighbour by explaining, in 200 words or less, why they think their neighbour should be the Baulkham Hills Neighbour Of The Year.
The winner will receive a $100 Castle Towers voucher, sponsored by Castle Towers.
Entries can be submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail to Suite 1, 25-33 Old Northern Road, Baulkham Hills by Friday, 13 March.
