Community feedback is being sought on a proposal to restrict right turn movements into and out of Rembrandt Drive at the intersection with Windsor Road, Baulkham Hills.
Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP David Elliott said the proposal was in response to property developments in the area leading to increased traffic in and out of Rembrandt Drive.
“Windsor Road is a key corridor for connecting the Hills district to Parramatta,” Mr Elliott said.
“New developments near Rembrandt Drive are expected to increase traffic volumes and vehicles waiting to turn right in and out of Rembrandt Drive which would lead to queuing and blocking southbound through traffic.
“To ensure the road remains safe and congestion is minimised, Roads and Maritime Services is proposing to restrict right turn movements by extending the road median by about 40 metres.
“A range of alternative routes currently exist to provide access to and from the area including via Landscape Street and Coronation Road where there are traffic lights.”
Comments can be provided by Friday 13 May to Roads and Maritime Services PO Box 973 Parramatta NSW 2124.
All feedback will be carefully considered and the community will be kept informed as the project progresses.
