Baulkham Hills Receives $47,636 For Local Sport

Baulkham Hills will receive $47,636 in funding for local sports clubs and community initiatives.

Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP David Elliott said that sport was the lifeblood of Baulkham Hills and investment in local sport was an important focus for the community.

“Sport is the lifeblood of Baulkham Hills, and I am delighted the NSW Government is investing more than $4.5 million in hundreds of grassroots sporting organisations across the State,” Mr Elliott said.

Mr Elliott said the initiatives were part of 831 projects in total that received funding as part of the NSW Government’s Local Sport Grant Program.

“The program provides grants of up to $20,000 towards projects to assist regions with rallying the community together and ensuring ongoing involvement in sport,” Mr Elliott said.

“The NSW government is committed to supporting grassroots sport and improving participation rates across the state.

“We know that sport has many proven health, social and economic outcomes and I encourage eligible clubs to apply for the next round of funding.

“Projects that are eligible include upgrades to local amenities or improving access to facilities, training programs and community events.”

Program applications open in late 2018.
