Celebrate Seniors Making Baulkham Hills Thrive

The 2021 Baulkham Hills Seniors Festival Local Achievement Awards is open. There are five categories to celebrate the positive impact of seniors in our families and society:

  • Business;
  • Environment, Science, Agriculture;
  • Health and Wellbeing;
  • Lifelong Learning; and,
  • Community Service.

Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP David Elliott said the NSW Seniors Festival and the Local Achievement Awards highlight the important role seniors play in the community.

“The annual festival and the awards are about celebrating the positive impact of seniors in our families and society,” Mr Elliott said.

“If you know a senior who helps make our community a better place to live and would like to thank them for their generous contribution, I encourage you to nominate them.”

Eligible nominees must reside and/or work in the Baulkham Hills electorate. Nominators may be an individual or organisation and can be but do not have to be from the Baulkham Hills electorate. Nominators are welcome to submit more than one nomination but are not permitted to nominate more than one senior per category.

The completed nomination form can be returned to Suite 1, 25-33 Old Northern Road, Baulkham Hills or via email at baulkhamhills@parliament.nsw.gov.au. Nominations close at 5.00pm on 31 March 2021. 

The awards program for the winners will be held in the Baulkham Hills Electorate Office as part of an exciting schedule of events across the state for the 2021 NSW Seniors Festival which runs from 13 – 24 April.

The NSW Seniors Festival is the largest festival for seniors in the Southern Hemisphere and enables older people to engage with each other, their community, ageing services and relevant businesses.
