Award Winners Do Baulkham Hills Proud

Member for Baulkham Hills, David Elliott, said he was thrilled with the standard of achievement amongst the latest recipients of NSW State Representative Awards.

 Mr Elliott was on hand to present the awards for outstanding achievement in indoor hockey, sailing and gymnastics.

 “Baulkham Hills continues to produce outstanding young athletes,” Mr Elliott said.

 “Our high achievers have wonderful support networks around them, and I am pleased that the efforts of our community volunteers are reflected in these awards.”

 Recipients of state sporting awards:

 * Adrian Rochester from Northmead – Indoor Hockey (Selected for U/15s Mens Nationals)

 * Miles Davey from Baulkham Hills – Sailing (NSW Sabot 2up team)

 * Andrea Davey from Baulkham Hills – Sailing (NSW Sabot 2up team)

 * Victoria Manning from Castle Hill – Gymnastics (NSW State team, national championship)


Mr Elliott was also thrilled with the news that Trevor Williams and Therese Canty were recently presented with their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

 “The Duke of Edinburgh Awards require outstanding commitment to community service and skill development,” Mr Elliott said.

 “Trevor and Therese embody these values and are worthy recipients of their awards.”
