All MPs gather some interesting friends and contacts over their acreer and Baulkham Hills state Liberal MP David Elliott has just said goodbye to one of his favourites.
Healthy Harold, the Life Education giraffe, has featured large in the Elliott household during the MP’s four-year stint as a director of Life Education.
“Unfortunately my parliamentary and committee duties and have made it very difficult to continue as a director of Life Education and I reluctantly handed in my resignation to chief executive, the Rev Jay Bacik, last week,” Mr Elliott said.
“It’s been a privilege to work with Rev Bacik and chairman Alan Cadman over the last four years and I lookf orward to watching further growth by Life Ed in NSW.”
Mr Elliott said he vividly remembered Life Ed atb his school in western Sydney.
“Now that my own sons are of the age that Healthy Harold vists their schools to teach them of the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse I am even more passionate about ensuring Life Ed’s ongoing success,” he said.
