Member for Baulkham Hills David Elliott said schools in Baulkham Hills have received $2,378,618 in currently ongoing capital works and maintenance projects for the 2012/2013 year.
Mr Elliott said that the funding was a major investment in the future of our local schools.
“This is a massive win for schools in Baulkham Hills,” Mr Elliott said.
“Students will experience the benefits of this investment in school infrastructure for years to come.
“As a result of this significant investment, students in Baulkham Hills will have access to improved facilities and superior educational opportunities.
“This upgrade will greatly improve the learning facilities at schools across Baulkham Hills.”
As part of the investment in our local schools, Northmead High School will receive new dance and drama spaces, Model Farms High School will receive upgraded Food Technology facilities including an improved kitchen area while Crestwood High School will receive a new suite of safety bollards and bannisters.
Mr Elliott said this extra capital works funding will ensure that schools in Baulkham Hills will be able to continue to offer their students the very best in terms of education infrastructure.
“This investment is only made possible by cost savings in the Department of Education and Communities that have allowed the Government to invest more money directly into school infrastructure.”
