This morning I joined the Treasurer Dom Perrottet MP to announce $268 million second funding package of initiatives which address recommendations from the NSW Bushfire Inquiry and once again put our firefighters and communities first.

Highlights include:
🚒 $50.9 million for the continued replacement and refurbishment of our firefighting fleet.
🔥 $37.6 million for the continued funding of our additional mitigation crews to deliver greater hazard reduction.
👨‍🚒 $22.7 million for Fire and Rescue NSW’s personal protective clothing replacement program.
🚨 $5.2 million to buy additional drones to be used for firefighting.

This funding builds on our initial $192 million investment and a suite of legislative amendments which have already made a difference to our state’s preparedness for future disasters, bringing our total response to almost half a billion dollars. #nswrfs #fireandrescue #preparedforanything
