First day on the job and it’s fantastic to join my colleagues, Paul Fletcher and Stuart Ayres to announce a $1.8 billion contract has been awarded to commence work on the new Sydney Metro-Western Sydney Airport metro line. The 23 kilometre metro line will link St Marys to the centre of the new Aerotropolis, and will create local jobs and ease congestion for Western Sydney residents in the long term.
